Audrey McHaffie
Audrey McHaffie of Glen Backer
died on Sun., Sept. 8, 2002 at the Winchester District Memorial
Hospital, after a brief illness. She was 84.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd McHaffie, whom she
married on May 28, 1938 at the Iroquois United Church. She was
the loving mother of Elsie Guindon (Lynden Casselman) of Morrisburg,
Linda Casselman of Glen Becker, Carole (Earl) Brown of RR 2 Ingleside,
Wayne (Sheila) of Glen Becker, Janet Loucks (Gary McColl) of RR
2 Prescott, Heather Torres (Lawrence Hunter) of RR 3 Williamsburg
and Debbie (Neil) Strader of Glen Becker.
Mrs. McHaffie will be fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren and
15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Irene Seeley of
Prescott and Gerald McHaffie of Mississauga. Also survived by
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Marion Casselman and
grandson Kevin Guindon.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1918 in Glen Becker to the late Howard
and Rita Saddlemire (nee Casselman).
Mrs. McHaffie was a kind, loving and generous woman who will be
greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an avid bingo player
who loved to visit with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking
and baking and she always had a smile on her face.
She was a lifetime resident of Glen Becker and a member of the
Williamsburg United Church. She was a lifetime vendor at McHaffie
Flea Market in Glen Becker.

Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral service was held at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home,
Williamsburg on Tues., Sept. 10 with Rev. Sandy Macpherson officiating.
Interment at New Union Cemetery, Williamsburg.
Pallbearers were Pam Guindon, Doug Casselman, Andy Brown, Laurie
Patterson, Kelly McHaffie and Sebastian Torres.
