Fredrick Allen Marquette
Fredrick Allen Marquette passed away Wed., July 5, 2006, at
the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 94.
He is survived by his brother George (Reta) of Cornwall. He was
a son of the late George and Nellie (Lynch) Marquette. He was
predeceased by brothers and sisters Willis, Hugh, Cecil, Clifford,
Joseph, Keith, Ina, Jean, Marion, and Anna.
He grew up in the Winchester area and worked for Ontario Hydro,
Cornwall Paper Mill, ran a service station in Cornwall, and farmed
in Avonmore prior to coming to Winchester Seniors in 1977.
He had spent the past eight years at Hillcrest Haven which he
considered home. He was hospitalized for the past month, where
his life took a few twists and turns.
A member of the Wesleyan Church, he will always be remembered
for his wit and thankfulness. He has made his journey home and
will be missed by his family.
Friends paid their respects at the Winchester Funeral Home on
July 7.
The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home
on July 8, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
