Scott Millar

A large number of people from Vernon and the area attended a funeral in Carleton Place on Sat., Aug. 19, 2006 at the Kerry Funeral Home, where Scott John Millar of Almonte, aged 36, rested having been tragically killed the morning of Aug. 16 on his motorcycle at Kaladar.
He is survived by his wife of five years, Sharon Toop Millar, who, also on a motorcycle, was slightly injured. He was the loving and cherished father of a two-year-old son, Wyatt. He is survived by his parents John and Marlene Millar of Merrickville; a sister Vickie Allison (Jeff), and their children Justin and Chase, of West Montroe, N.Y.; his grandparents Mrs. James Millar (Betty) of Vernon, and Mrs. Lorne Wyatt (Helen) of Metcalfe; and by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service was held in St. James Anglican Church with Rev. David Mullin officiating, and was attended by an overflow crowd. Interment was in Auld Kirk Cemetery in Almonte.
