Mary Ann Rawson
Mary Ann Rawson (nee Holmes) died peacefully in her own home
on Tue., Nov. 28, 2006, after 91 years of living life to the fullest.
She was the dear wife of Eric Rawson, who died in April 2005,
after 63 years of marriage. Mary was a strong, positive force
in the lives of all who knew her. She will be especially missed
by her three children: Robert (Susan), Jean (David), and Blake
(Nina). She showed enduring love and support for her grandchildren:
Tim, Andrew, and Laura (Paul) Hodgson; Jennifer, Karen, and Rob
Rawson; and Jeremy and Melissa Rawson. She was delighted with
her great-granddaughter and namesake, Ella Mary, and her little
brother Wesley.
Her heart was never far from her beloved Holmes family in Winchester.
She was predeceased by her sister Lou and five brothers, Tom,
Gerald, Keith, Lloyd and Woodrow. Her sisters, Marguerite and
Murla (Ron), and brother Murray (Peggy) will miss Mary, the "big
sister" who added so much to their lives. She will be remembered
by loving sisters-in-law, Joyce, Doris, Kay, Mary, and Betty,
as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui
Chapel in Kingston, on Dec. 3, The funeral service was held in
the chapel on Dec. 4, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery
in Chesterville.
