Evelyn Gillard

Evelyn Irene Gillard of Sandfield Place in Cornwall, formerly of Chesterville, passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Site on Fri., Sept. 19, 2008. She was 88.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Albert (Bert) Gillard of Chesterville. She was the loved mother of Nancy Loiselle of Cornwall, the cherished grandmother of Corrine Loiselle (Denis Champagne) of Cornwall, and great-grandmother of Isabella and Emma Champagne. She is survived by her brother-in-law Gerald McMillan of Chesterville, by nieces Marion (John) DeGray of Iroquois, Brenda Marcellus of Brockville, Lana (Ray) Larsen of Finch, Carol (John) Hull of Gatineau, and nephews Arthur Marcellus of Victoria, Ron (Ann) McMillan of Chesterville, and Myrle McMillan. She was the daughter of the late Effie and Miles Marcellus of Dunbar. She was predeceased by brothers Harold, Leon, Roy, and William, sister Gladys, and sisters-in-law Lillian and Mae Marcellus, and Doreen McMillan.

The family received friends at the Chesterville Funeral Home on Tues., Sept. 23. The funeral service will be held on Wed., Sept. 24 at Trinity United Church in Chesterville at 11 am.
