Shirley Elaine Crummy

Shirley Elaine Crummy (nee George) of Winchester passed away at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Tues., May 25, 2010. She was 80.
She was born on April 11, 1930 in Mountain, to the late Benson Charles George and the late Luella Agnes Bryan. She was the wife of the late William "Bill" John Crummy whom she married on Nov. 29, 1947 in Winchester. She was the mother of Robert (Diane), Sandra Robertson (Lynn), Janice Veley, James (Betty), and Heather (Kris). She was the grandmother of Wendy (Paul) Shari (Shawn), Krista, Kathryn, Tyler (Theresa), Tracie (John), and Christopher and she was also a great-grandmother.
Shirley was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Winchester United Church.
A memorial service was held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on Thurs., May 27 with Rev. Christine Lowson officiating. Interment of cremated remains was private.
