Alfred Leonard passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, 2006 at theWoodland Villa. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of the late Vivian Lake. He was theloving father of Terry Baker, Helen Baldwin, and Doreen Diaram,and father-in-law of Elaine Baker. He was the cherished grandpaof Amy-Lynn, Laura, Susie, Christopher, Samantha, Jonathan, Deslyn,and Roslyn, and seven great-grandchildren. He was the dear brotherof Jane, Ruby, William, Kenneth, and Lois. He was predeceasedby his brothers Charles and Harold and sisters Grace and Ida.
He was a veteran of World War II and a life-member of Branch 108of the Royal Canadian Legion. When he left the army, he marriedVivian Lake and bought a farm in Inkerman where they raised threechildren. They sold their farm in 1974 and moved to Winchesterwhere he was deeply involved in the community.
Friends paid their respects at the Winchester Funeral Home, onAug. 15. The funeral service was held Aug. 16 in the chapel ofthe funeral home at 10:30 am followed by interment at KnightsCemetery.
