Gordon William Blow

Gordon William Blow, a life-long resident of South Mountain, died at his residence on Sept. 17, 2002. He was 97.
He was predeceased by his wife Lena Pauline Robinson who passed in 1989. They were married in Iroquois on June 30, 1927,
Mr. Blow was born in South Mountain on Nov. 29, 1904 to the late Matilda (nee Holmes) and Martin Blow.
He is survived by children Dorothy (Eddy) Boewe and Gordon T.Blow; and grandson Ted Boewe. He is predeceased by siblings Annie Graham, Dorothy Blow, Lillian Guthrie and Thomas H. Blow. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blow was self-employed as a farmer. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Mountain.
His funeral was at Byers Funeral Home Chapel on Sept. 19. Rev. Carol Bain officiated and interment was at South Gower Cemetery.
The pallbearers were cousins and friends: John Baker, Owen Potter, Allan Brown, Matthew Brown, Gordon Richardson and Mervin Coons.
