Roy Mcdonald Campbell
1925 – 2015

Roy Campbell, a caring, gentle man, passed away with his family and his loving wife, Dawn, at his bedside on Tues., April 14, 2015 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital in his 90th year.
Roy was the second son of the late Lillie and Dan Campbell of Ormond. He was the dear brother of Helen (Erwin Duncan), Donald R. (Lucille), Daniel J. (Ellie), and the late Glenn (Vivian). He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Gilroy. He was the loving stepfather of Joy McIntosh (Jack Aliberti), Steven McIntosh, and Dean McIntosh (Elaine). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Laura (Warren Williams), Colin, Brandon, Ben, Evan; great-granddaughter Ruby; and daughter-in-law Sue.
Roy was born in Ormond. Following high school, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, after which he attended Queen’s University. He spent 30 years working for Northern Electric. He enjoyed many wonderful years with Dawn, and leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Roy was very involved in many Winchester fundraisers, a member of the Baptist Church, musical groups, and was instrumental in starting Meals on Wheels in Winchester.
Family and friends paid their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home in Metcalfe on Mon., April 20 from 1 pm until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 3 pm.
Donations made to Winchester District Memorial Hospital or Winchester Baptist Church would be most appreciated by the family.
