Claude Norman Cousineau

Claude Norman Cousineau, a lifetime resident of North Dundas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Fri., May 27, 2016.
Claude was born Dec. 8, 1943. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Desneiges (nee Marion), and a brother, Andy. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria (nee VanBreugel), his son, Vince (Shelley), and his grandchildren, Brooke and Brandon. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Marc (Wendy), and sisters Rachelle (John), Claire, Carmen, Sue, and Julie, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Claude will be remembered for his love of and dedication to his family and friends. Claude owned and operated his very successful upholstery business for 50 years in Morewood. He was also heavily involved in municipal and provincial politics with a major focus on North Dundas. His dedication to his community was enormous from our local fire department to our recreation association in Morewood. Claude was a true volunteer, and a great leader that was always there to help. His commitment and caring nature helped many people throughout North Dundas, and will be remembered as an amazing friend.

Claude will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
As per Claude’s wishes, there will be no wake or funeral service.
