Ronald Ernest Dangerfield

Ronald Ernest Dangerfield passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Fri., Nov. 24, 2017 in his 84th year.
He was the dearly loved husband for 64 years of Ellen (nee Armstrong), and the father of Debra Blaine (Doug), Herb (Allison, nee Hamilton), and Barbara Maitland (Brian). He was predeceased by son, Brian, and his parents, Ernest and Lois (nee Hyndman). He was the loving Pa to grandchildren Lynn (Mark) Vanasse, Heather Blaine (Gord Roberts), and Mark (Becci) Blaine; Emma Smith (Neil), Sam (Laura), Paul (Quinlan), and Katie Dangerfield; and Jeff (Melanie), Ronnie (Ashleigh), Mike (Jessica), and Rob (Kate) Maitland. Ronald is survived by sisters Shirley Hamilton (the late Willis), Beryl McIntosh (the late Grant), and Beverly Guy (George); great-grandchildren Lucas and Bryson Vanasse; Beth and Xander Roberts; Georgia, Madeline, and Austen Blaine; Liam and Declan Smith; Everett and Isaac Dangerfield; and Parker, Haylea, Kaleb, Olivia, and Brooke Maitland. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Ron rested at the Mountain Township Agricultural Hall, 2967 Lough Rd. in South Mountain, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Mon., Nov. 27. The funeral service was held in the hall on Tues., Nov. 28 at 11 am followed by interment at South Gower Cemetery.
By family request, donations may be made to Winchester District Memorial Hospital or St. Andrew’s United Church in Heckston.
