Dorothy Annie Declare

Dorothy Declare (nee Baptist) of Hallville passed away peacefully at Kemptville District Hospital on Sun., March 19, 2017. She was 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late George Declare, and the loving Mom of Deborah MacLeod, Donna Windsor, Doug, Darlene (Paul) Simms, Drenna (Jim) Mernickle, and Diane Hyndman. She was the cherished Grandma of Tyler and Ashley Windsor; Larry and Jordan Mernickle; Courtney (Jeremy) Leger and Randy Hyndman; Shannon (Alex) and Derek Simms (Natalie); and great-granddaughter Emily. Dorothy was the dear sister of Beatrice (Fred) Shipley, Clarence (Marlene) Baptist, Ethel (the late Jim) Whittle, Ross (the late Margaret) Baptist, Jean (the late Matt) Hawrychuk, the late Harold (the late Irene) Baptist, the late Clifford (Edith) Baptist, the late Kay (the late Roy) Girdler, the late Thelma (Don) McCoy, the late Ron (the late Ethel) Baptist, the late Kenneth Baptist, and the late Elsie (the late Carl) McLean. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
By Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church St. in South Mountain (613-989-3836) on Sat., March 25 from 10 am until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 11:30 am. Interment will be held in the spring at Reids Mills Cemetery.
