Mary “Maxine” Feeley

Maxine Feeley, a lifetime resident of the Chesterville area, passed away at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wed., Feb. 29, 2012. She was in her 80th year.
Maxine was born in Dunbar on July 11, 1932, the second youngest of 15 children, to her parents, Edsel and Bessie Merkley (nee Wallace). Maxine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry, her children, Barry (Patsy) of Chesterville, Cathy (Ronnie) Carbino of Finch, Tom (Mary) of Ottawa, and Lori (Graham) Ball of Chesterville, and her siblings, Audrey Casselman of Williamsburg, Lois (Jack) McCaughey of Cornwall, Lorna Bolster of Brushton, NY, and Joan Beckstead of Chesterville. Maxine will be fondly remembered by grandchildren; Michelle (Mark), Mallory (Trevor), Michael, Lindsay, Alyssa, Warren, Lauren; and one great-grandson, Colby Morozuk. She was predeceased by sisters, Vera Smith, Dorothy Price, and Emma Hess, and brothers, Walter, Irwin, Lee, Carl, Clifton, Audeen, and Lyle Merkley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Chesterville on Fri., March 2. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Sat., March 3 at 11 am with Rev. Lois Gaudet officiating, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. The pallbearers were grandchildren Michelle Doll, Mallory Morozuk, Michael Carbino, Lindsay Feeley, Alyssa Ball, Warren Ball, and Lauren Feeley.
