Harold Frederick Floyd of Kemptville passedaway in Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Mon., July 3,2006 He was 80.
He was born on Nov., 23, 1925 in South Gower Township to the lateFred Floyd and the late Edith Wylie. He is survived by his brothersKeith and Mervyn.
He was employed by the railway and worked there for 30 years.During the last few years of his employment with CPP, he workedon a part time basis as Assistant Road Master. He also workedon the family farm.
He had many interests. He enjoyed restoring gas engines, and wouldspend many hours on these projects. He liked to attend auctionsales and plowing matches. He was also a good cook, and enjoyedmaking pickles.
Visitation was held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Rolston Chapelin Kemptville on July 5. The funeral service was held in the chapelof the funeral home on July 6 with Rev. Bev Lindsey officiating.Jean Newans was the organist. Interment followed at South GowerCemetery.
The pallbearers were Kevin Hill, Carl Payne, Robert Brown, BillBrown, Richard Strike, and Andy Porter.
Memorial donations to the Kemptville District Hospital were gratefullyreceived.
