Henry John Havekes
Henry John Havekes passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener. He was in his 60th year.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Barbara Havekes. He was the loving father and father-in-law of Sara and Spencer, Katie and Wassim, Paula and Garrett, and Luke. He was the proud “Pa” of Nora and Grace. Henry was the son of Dien Havekes and was predeceased by his father, John. He was the son-in-law of Michael and Kathy Szczepaniak, the brother and brother-in-law of Joanne and Peter Sharp, William and Marie Havekes, Richard and Louise Havekes, Robert and Murielle Havekes, John and Joanne Havekes, Carl Havekes, James and Kathy Havekes, Edwardand Cathy Szczepaniak, and Anna Stitt. He was the uncle to 23 nieces and nephews, and a friend to more people than we can count.
He loved a good book, a cold drink, bird watching, and sharing stories with family and friends. He could take any phrase and associate it to a song lyric in less than five seconds. He could fix anything, and no project was ever too big or small.
He will be missed more than words can describe. Henry, Henri, Hank, Dad, Pa…. your memory is a gift, forever in our hearts.
