CORNWALL – Rogers Hometown Hockey’s next stop will be in Cornwall Fri., March 16 to Sun., March 18.
Hometown Hockey will take place at the Cornwall Civic Complex and will feature many different events and live music acts.
Former NHLers Shayne Corson and Chris Neil will be on hand to sign autographs as well.
The weekend kicks off on Fri., March. 16 when the NHL Alumni Benefit Tour rolls into the Complex for a game.
The tour features legends from Stanley Cup winning teams, classic Original Six hockey teams and local former NHLers representing your hometown all in support of Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The NHL Alumni Tour has proudly hosted hockey legends such as Walter Gretzky, Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Tiger Williams, Theo Fleury and many others.
Cornwall’s event will welcome players such as, Brent Gretzky, Matthew Barnaby, Jesse Winchester, Scott Pearson and Rogers Hometown Hockey’s host, Ron McLean.
The Scotiabank NHL Alumni Benefit Tour gives fans a unique experience and an evening to remember that showcases top-shelf hockey skills, on ice pranks and old-fashioned hockey nostalgia.
This great evening provides something for fans of all ages and gives the crowd an exciting opportunity to see a lighter side of these hockey greats while raising money for a great cause.
The Scotiabank NHL Alumni Benefit Tour supports the Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run’s mission “To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.”
Doors to the Cornwall Civic Complex open at 1 pm and the game starts at 2 pm.

Rogers Fan Hub: Helping fans be fans, the Fan Hub features innovative and interactive experiences, showcasing virtual autographs from NHL stars, a hockey-themed Zamboni video game and autograph signings with NHL alumni, such as Shayne Corson, to unite fans in their passion for the game. I
The Hockey Circus Show: Come see Paz, our world-renowned hockey acrobat! Paz juggles everything from pucks to flaming hockey sticks all while standing on top of a net.
Scotiabank Community Locker Room: A family-friendly space to engage hockey fans, celebrate the game, and interact with NHL alumni, such as Chris Neil. Scotiabank will be donating $15,000 to minor hockey associations in the community.
Tim Hortons Ball Hockey Rink presented by Sportsnet: Features pick-up games for the community, including local Timbits Hockey players.
Playmobil Kids Zone: Fans have the chance to face off against friends and family with the PLAYMOBIL NHL Arena and its lineup of NHL figures. In the zone, fans will also be able to enter to win a new NHL playset.
OK Tire Zamboni Pit Stop: Features a pit-crew-like experience where fans have the opportunity to test their tire-changing skills on a replica Zamboni.
