Annie Isobel James (nee Stinson) passed awaypeacefully at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre in Metcalfeon Jan. 19, 2007. She was 94.
She was the beloved wife of the late Carman James of Russell.She was the much loved mother of Phyllis (Doug Lyster) of GrandCache, Alta., Freda (Joe Horton) of Keremeos, B.C., Millie (JimPorteous) of Brockville, Ellie of Brentwood Bay, B.C., George(Judy Denison) and Les (Marilyn Mackie) of Russell. She was thedear grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by brother Lloyd Stinson (Marion Spratt) of Manotick.She was predeceased by brothers Gordon and David.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1913 at Merivale. She was a long-timemember of St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s United Church of Russell,the North Russell Women’s Institute, the Russell HorticulturalSociety, and the Russell Agricultural Society.
Friends and family called at the Daley Family Funeral Home onJan. 23 and before the funeral, which took place in the funeralhome chapel today (Jan. 24) at 2 pm. Interment will take placeat North Russell Union Cemetery in the spring.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff atthe Township of Osgoode Care Centre for their kindness and excellentcare for the past seven years. Donations can be made to the CareCentre or St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s United Church in Russell.
