WINCHESTER – Before the 21st North Dundas Parade Of Lights begins its journey through the village, the Winchester Junior Hawks will present its annual Minor Hockey Day.

The Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 game between the hometown Hawks and the Embrun Panthers takes at the Joel Steele Community Centre on Saturday (Dec. 2) afternoon at 3:15 pm.

Prior to the puck drop, several events have been planned, including an autograph session with the players at 1:30 pm. Kids activities will then be available in the boardroom from 2 until 3 pm.

There will be no admission fee for minor hockey players under the age of 16, wearing a hockey jersey, as well as kids under five.

Draws for Hawks’ team paraphernalia will also be held.

North Dundas Minor Hockey Association Initiation Program players will scrimmage during the first and second period intermissions.

Following their game, the Hawks are taking part in the Parade of Lights and urge fans to stay in town and join the festivities.
