Timothy Peter Kirk Sgt. (Ret)
May 8, 1967 – January 31, 2018

Tim Kirk passed away unexpectedly in Edmonton on Wed., Jan. 31, 2018.
He was the son of Barbara and the late Peter Kirk. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, his daughter, Kaitlin, son Allen, stepson Timothy, stepdaughter Elisa, and two grandchildren.
Tim attended Osgoode Township High School.
After serving 15 years in Princess Patricia’s Infantry, with deployments in Cyprus, Kosovo, and Croatia, he served another 10 years as a Sergeant. with the Canadian Forces School of Military Intelligence where he served three tours in Afghanistan. Having received numerous medals and commendations, a tree will be planted on the Highway of Heroes in Tim’s memory. After retirement from the military, Tim continued to serve his country by taking the position of Provincial Duty Officer of Communications for the Alberta Emergency Management Agency.
The Timothy Kirk Award for Exemplary Performance has been created by the AEMA to be awarded annually.
