Antonius “Tony” Leyten
Antonius “Tony” Leyten of South Mountain,formerly of Morrisburg, passed away Sept. 19, 2007 at WinchesterDistrict Memorial Hospital. He was 83.
He was born on April 25, 1924 in Chaam, Holland to the late AntoniusLeyten and the late Mary Gommeren. He was the husband of the lateArnolda Leyten (nee Wirken). He was the beloved companion of EmmyVan Adrichem. He was the father of Josie Jones, Maryann McDonald(John), Linda Lovell (Ed), Andrew Leyten (Karen), and the lateTony Leyten Jr. He was the Opa of grandchildren Danny, Rhonda,Michael, Joshua, Kelsey, Jeremy, Christopher, Zachary, and great-grandchildrenBrianna, Ben, Riley, Morgan, and Cooper. He was the brother ofmany brothers and sisters still residing in Holland and will bemissed by the Van Adrichem family.
He was a farmer and a member of the Roman Catholic church.
The funeral was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrisburgon Sept. 22 with Fr. Chisholm officiating, followed by intermentat St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Morrisburg. The pallbearerswere grandsons Danny, Michael, Joshua, and Jeremy; and Leo andRodger Van Adrichem.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Homein South Mountain.
