It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many, Mary Lynch, on Thurs., July 30, 2015.
Mary was the devoted and loving wife of the late Francis Lynch (2000) for 52 years. She is survived by her children, Elaine Lynch (Robert Steen) of Ottawa, Barry (Louise) of Calgary, and Patrick (Cheryl) of Chesterville. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Ryan (Brianne), Scott (Andrea), Amy (Chris), Jessica (Wassim), and Shauna (Blair). She was the great-grandma to Brayden and Morgan. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Bridgit Gannon (nee Chambers), and her brother, Ewen Gannon (Jessie).
Mary was a devoted Catholic and a long-time member of St. Mary’s Parish in Chesterville.  Her faith gave her strength to endure. She loved her farming life and Irish roots. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She leaves behind many good and long-time friends in the Chesterville area and at the Hartford Retirement Residence.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Chesterville on Mon., Aug. 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary of the Presentation Roman Catholic Church in Chesterville on Tues., Aug. 4 at 11 am with Father Cosmas and Father Chisholm officiating, followed by interment at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Finch. The pallbearers were Scott Lynch, Shauna Lynch, Brian Lynch, and Robert Steen.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dundas County Hospice or Carefor Hospice in Cornwall would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks for the loving care provided by the staff at the Hartford Retirement Residence, Carefor Hospice in Cornwall, and Dr. Crabtree.
