James Gillmoure MacLean
April 15, 1942 – July 30, 2016
Jim MacLean, a loving, caring man, passed away on Sat., July 30, 2016 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital, in his 75th year.
He was the beloved husband of Susan “Patricia” Sheehan MacLean for 37 years. Jim was the son of the late Dr. Dougald MacLean and Dorothy MacLean (Gillmoure). He was the dear brother of Thomas MacLean (Irene) of Kingston, Judy Stringer (Eric) of Bridgewater, N.S., and Dianne Pollock (Bill) of Winchester. He was the special “Uncle Jim” to Bruce, Alison (Mike), Paul (Michelle), and Katrina Stringer; Rob Pollock (Karen); and Kim Machan (Andrew). He will be sadly missed by his great-nieces and nephews, Ainsley and Charlotte Darrach; Brooke Stringer; Adam, Kyle, and Mason Pollock; and Maclean and Caleb Machan.
Friends and family were invited to visit the Daniels Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 472 Main St. in Winchester (613-774-1117), on Mon., Aug. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary of the Presentation Church, 10 Church St. in Chesterville, on Tues., Aug. 2 at 11 am, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
