Fredrick Allen Marquette
Fredrick Allen Marquette passed away Wed., July 5, 2006, atthe Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 94.
He is survived by his brother George (Reta) of Cornwall. He wasa son of the late George and Nellie (Lynch) Marquette. He waspredeceased by brothers and sisters Willis, Hugh, Cecil, Clifford,Joseph, Keith, Ina, Jean, Marion, and Anna.
He grew up in the Winchester area and worked for Ontario Hydro,Cornwall Paper Mill, ran a service station in Cornwall, and farmedin Avonmore prior to coming to Winchester Seniors in 1977.
He had spent the past eight years at Hillcrest Haven which heconsidered home. He was hospitalized for the past month, wherehis life took a few twists and turns.
A member of the Wesleyan Church, he will always be rememberedfor his wit and thankfulness. He has made his journey home andwill be missed by his family.
Friends paid their respects at the Winchester Funeral Home onJuly 7.
The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral homeon July 8, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
