Wilfred McIntosh

Wilfred McIntosh of Park Drive Villa in Williamsburgpassed away following an illness of almost nine years, on April21, 2006 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 87.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1919 in Williamsburg Township to the lateIsaac McIntosh and the late Zella McIntosh (nee Merkley). He wasthe husband of Pearl McIntosh (nee Robinson) whom he married inOttawa on Sept. 24, 1941. He was predeceased by brother Aden andsisters Jessie Beckstead and Kathleen Garlough. He is survivedby his brother-in-law Ted Beckstead of Cardinal and will be fondlyremembered by several nieces and nephews.
A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of the area. He wasa member of the Williamsburg United Church. He enjoyed fishingand spending time in the bush, whether he was working or justtaking a leisurely stroll.
Friends called at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in WilliamsburgApril 23 and 24. The funeral was held on April 24 at the funeralhome with Rev. Isabel Black officiating, followed by intermentat Spruce Haven Cemetery in Brinston. Pallbearers were FrancisHenderson, John Byvelds, Steven Byvelds, Alex Scott, Ed Hanson,and Don Garlough. Honorary pallbearers were Carmen McIntosh, KenBeckstead, Ferneley Johnston, and Gerry McPherson.
