Victor Joseph Albert Moss

Victor Joseph Albert Moss passed away peacefully at WoodlawnVilla in Long Sault, on April 23, 2006. He was 93.
A resident of Chesterville, he was born on Oct. 21, 1912. Asa young man he worked on his farm and later worked for ChestervilleDistrict Co-op. He was predeceased by his wife Rose Gauthieron Sept. 11, 1994, daughter Cecile Sissons in 1983, daughter-in-lawToni Moss in 1992, son-in-law Ron Bell in 1998, three sisters:Alice in infancy, Ellen White, and Irene Heasley; and four brothers:Henry, Edmund, Arthur, and Ernest.
He was the cherished father of Rene (Phyllis) of Chesterville,Alice (Robert Laushway) of Prescott, Roger (Sharon) of Chesterville,Pauline (Frank Scheepers) of Winchester, Lorraine Bell of BC,and Helen (Grant Yoxon) of Orleans.
He will be fondly remembered by his 10 grandsons, 8 granddaughtersand 17 great-grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, BlancheCharlebois of Elliott Lake, Olive Heasley of Finch, and Jean Indoeof Kitchener, and three brothers Harvey (Eileen) of Cobden, Gerald(Hazel) of Hull, and John (Mary) of Nepean.
The funeral mass was held on April 28 at St. Mary’s Church inChesterville, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearerswere his grandsons, Jeffrey and Kevin Laushway, Jim and BryanMoss, Frank Jr. and Scott Scheepers, Adam Moss, Jason Bell, andIan Yoxon. Absent was Douglas Sissons.
