KEMPTVILLE – A local hockey player has been recognized for his play with the Kemptville 73’s.
Jarrett Williams, a grade 12 student at North Dundas District High School, won a pair of awards during the CCHL1 team’s banquet recently.
Williams took home the Clara Thompson Memorial Award, given to the team’s rookie of the year.
The Mountain resident also captured the Ryan Forbes Award, which is presented to the player showing the most heart and desire by the team’s captains.
Williams has been part of the 73’s organization for the past three seasons. In 2015 and 2016, he played for the team’s under-18 squad.
During those seasons, Williams amassed a total of 55 points in 88 games,
This past season, Williams tallied nine points in 56 contests as a first-year player in the CCHL1.
