Vera Pharaoh of Williamsburg died at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on July 31, 2003. She was 75.
She was born in Middlesborough, Yorkshire, England on Oct. 30, 1927. She was the beloved wife of Harry Pharaoh, whom she married in England in 1944.
She was the dear mother of Susan (Bert) Casselman of Williamsburg, and Janice (Bev) Patterson of South Mountain. She was dear grandma of Kevin (Kelly), Chris (Denise), Karen (Wayne), Korey (Brenda), Kent and Terri. She was step-grandma of Derick (Laurie), Eric(Lori), and Amy.
She had 11 great-grandchildren. She was dear sister of Annette (Peter) Westgate of England. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda Smith and granddaughter Whitney Patterson.
She worked at Saver’s clothing store in Iroquois for 22 years and she also worked for many years at the Clothing Barn in Glen Becker. She was a gifted seamstress and a talented craft maker. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family ahead of herself.
A private family graveside service and interment of cremated remainswas held at Spruce Haven Cemetery in Brinston on July 7. Arrangementswere entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
