Edward Robertson, a lifetime resident of RR1 Morrisburg, died on Thurs., June 20, 2002 at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 74.
He was the beloved husband of Alice Robertson (nee Hutchinson), whom he married on Dec. 20, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Morrisburg. He was the loving father of David (Maritza) of Guelph, Diane (Robb) Brock of RR 2 Iroquois, Donna (Kevin) Vollrath of Morewood, Darren (Rose) of RR 1 Morrisburg and Donald at home.
He was a dear brother of Edna (Alex) Dusa of RR 1 Morrisburg. He will be sadly missed by eight grandchildren, and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1927 in Williamsburg Township to the late Percy and Belle Robertson (nee Mitchell).
Mr. Robertson worked as a farmer and construction worker in his early years, and in later years he was a gardener/horticulturalist with the St. Lawrence Parks Commision. His hobbies included trapping, hunting and fishing.
Donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Morrisburg on Sat., June 22 with Rev. Joachim Barkley-Probst officiating. Interment at New Union Cemetery, Williamsburg. Arrangements entrusted to Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
Pallbearers were Richard Casselman, Robert Casselman, Keith Wereley, Keith Johnston, Brendan Wells and Clayton Barkley.
