Winchester Press – obit – William ‘Eugene’ ScottWilliam ‘Eugene’ Scott William “Eugene”Scott (Gene or Scottie) of Dundas Manor in Winchester, formerlyof RR 3 Mountain, passed away on April 22, 2005 at WinchesterDistrict Memorial Hospital. He was 79.
He is survived by his wife Olive Elizabeth May (Betty) Simzerwhom he married on May 24, 1952 in Heckston. He was born on March17, 1926 in Mountain Township to the late Ernest Edward Scottand the late Bertha Reynolds. He was predeceased by his step-motherMary Pearl McIntyre. He is survived by his son Preston EugeneScott. He was brother of Bert (Mabel) of Smiths Falls, and thelate Ed (Dorothy) of RR 3 Mountain. He was uncle of many niecesand nephews.
He was a member of the United Church who was previously employedfor 32 years at Mel Johnston’s Chevrolet Oldsmobile.
A private family committal was held with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating.Cremation with interment followed at South Gower Cemetery. Funeralarrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home in SouthMountain.
