Thomas Archie Sheldrick

Thomas Archie Sheldrick of Dundas Manor in Winchester died peacefully on Dec. 25, 2002 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 89.
He is survived by wife Wilma Marguerite Ouderkirk, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1942. She still resides at Dundas Manor.
He was born on July 19, 1913 to the late John Alfred Sheldrick and Bessie Ransom. He retired in 1980 after a career including jobs as a cheesemaker, electrical contractor and building inspector.
Mr. Sheldrick is survived by Garry (Wanda) of Winchester, Dale (Grethe) of Nepean, Keith (Barbara) of Nepean, and Ralph (Nancy) of Winchester. He will be missed by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by daughter Marilyn (Ken McDonald) of Winchester who died on Jan. 12, 1990.
He was the sixth child and last surviving sibling of 10 children: Alfred (Fannie), Robert (Mary), Samuel (Margaret), Eva (CharlesHowes), Harold (Mary), Amos (Jean), Hartley (Jean), Amon (Doris) and Annie (John Carson).
A Masonic service was conducted by brethren of Henderson Lodge#383 in Winchester on Dec. 27.
Funeral services were conducted at Duncan Funeral Home in Metcalfe on Dec. 28 with Rev. Keith Brown officiating.
Pallbearers were Jason Sheldrick, Brent Sheldrick, Kris Sheldrick, Brian Sheldrick, Grant Sheldrick and Kevin Bell. Honorary bearers were Erwin Duncan, Harold Cowan and Sterling Bowen.
