The UCMHL is making a wide range of changes to its format for the 2017-2018 season.
The east and west divisions at all levels are being eliminated, which means all teams will play in one division. The regular season will extend into the first weekend of March and be expanded to 28 games, an increase from 24 giving each team 14 home and an equal number of away games.
Only the top four teams in each age bracket will make the post-season and take part in an abbreviated playoff format.
