Leo Paul St. Pierre

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leo Paul St.Pierre on Wed., Sept. 19, 2012, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Omer St. Pierre and the late Noella Gauthier. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile Gagnon, and two sons, Bernard and Robert. He leaves to mourn, his children; Yvonne (Ken), Suzanne, and Roger, and daughter-in-law Sue (the late Robert). He was the grandfather to Robin Mondoux, Jason (Cathy) St. Pierre, Mark (Karen) St. Pierre, Angelique Tamblyn, and Sarah St. Pierre. He was the great-grandfather of Aleisha and Bryce St. Pierre; Sebastien and Chloe St. Pierre; and Raine and Presley Tamblyn. He was predeceased by brothers, Louis, Wilfred, and Aime, and sisters, Annette, Lucia, and Oliva. He is survived by his sister, Ida (Roger) Moyneur, and sisters-in-law, Yvette Cardinal, Jeanette Gagnon, and Helen Gagnon, and brother-in-law Ernest Dagenais. He was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Gabrielle, Claudette, Rhea, and Fernande, and brothers-in-law, Floriant, Aldoria, Daniel, Aurele, Fernand, and Simon.
Leo Paul enjoyed dancing, travelling, and playing bridge and bid euchre. He had a great “joy for life.” He will be truly missed by us all.
Special thank you to Dr. D. J. Flowers, who kept Gramp dancing for years, and to the special nurses who helped Leo Paul to comfortably complete his last journey – your care and kindness was wonderful, and to the staff at Le Genesis who made his last home comfortable.
Visitation will be held at Lafleur Funeral Home, 874 Notre-Dame St. in Embrun, on Sat., Sept. 29 from 9 to 10:30 am followed by the funeral at Ste-Therese d’Avila Catholic Church in Marionville at 11 am.
