Gerald “Jed” Styles of RR3 Williamsburgpassed away at home after an 8 month illness on Jan., 5, 2007.He was 84.
He was born on May 21, 1922 in Williamsburg Township to the lateRoy Styles and the late Dora Styles (nee Bowman). He is survivedby his wife Georgina Styles (nee Meyer). He was the father ofLinda (Tom) Nixon of St. Albert, Alta., and Mary (Garry) Whittekerof RR3 Williamsburg. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildrenTricia, Paul, Tammy, Stacey, Shelley, Tracy, Kole, Ainsley, Cambrie,Ryan, Samuel, Michael, Brooke, and Brandan, and by nieces andnephews. He was predeceased by a brother George.
Jed, a lifetime resident of the area was a former dairy farmer,and truck driver with the United Counties. He was a lifetime memberof Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Riverside Heights.
Friends called at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburgon Jan. 7. The funeral was held on Jan. 8 at Holy Trinity AnglicanChurch in Riverside Heights with Rev. Craig Bowers officiating.Interment followed at St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery in LongSault. The pallbearers were Ray Lee, Dan McIntosh, John Walker,Glenn Whitteker, Charlie Whitteker, and Raymond Van Moorsel.
