Manley Wheeler

Manley “Speed” Wheeler passed awaypeacefully, with his family at his side, on Mon., May 19, 2008at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 77.
He was born in Winchester Township to the late Edward and Ann(nee Manley) Wheeler. He is survived by his wife Catherine (neeRobinson), his son Stewart (Kim Barkley) and daughters Gail Miller(Clayton), Connie (Mark Switzer) of Kingston, and Lorna (TonyMcCadden). He is survived by three sisters Donelda (Stewart Edgerton)of Ottawa, Aurea Chambers (the late Terry) of Alberta, and Florence(George Parks) of Ottawa.
He was predeceased by four brothers Desmond, Raymond, Dwayne,and Gerald, and two sisters Joan and Irene. He is also survivedby sisters-in-law Betty (nee Elliott), and Reggie (nee Tessier),and brothers-in-law George Gaudry and Desmond Lanahan. He willbe sadly missed by six grandchildren Alison and Erin Wheeler,and Judd, Garrett, Lucas, and Austin Miller, and by many niecesand nephews.
The funeral service was held at the Chesterville Funeral Homewith a mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chesterville followedby interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were StewartWheeler, Clayton, Judd and Garrett Miller, Vic Patenaude, andTony McCadden. The honourary pallbearers were Lucas and AustinMiller, and Mark Switzer.
