Game schedule set for CCHL2 team

WINCHESTER – Winchester Hawks’ president/general manager Keith Ashton is reporting the Central Canada Junior Hockey League Tier 2 (CCHL2) team will open its exhibition schedule hosting the new Embrun Panthers club.

That pre-season tilt will take place in Winchester at the Joel Steele Community Centre on Thurs., Aug. 31 at 8:15 pm. The Hawks are slated to travel up the valley to meet another new CCHL2 entry, the Whitewater Kings in Renfrew on Fri., Sept. 1.

The Winchester Hawks Hockey Club is entering its 50th season of existence with a new coaching staff in place. Winchester’s training camp opens in Kemptville at the North Grenville Community Centre on Sat., Aug. 26 (7-9 pm and 9:30-11 pm).
