OTTAWA – Athletes from North Dundas District High School turned in some impressive performances as they prepared for the 2017 SD&G track and field championship meet.

The North Dundas Devils competed in their board competition in Ottawa yesterday (Tues., May 9) in hopes of finishing high enough in their respective events to qualify for EOSSAA.

Zach Hamilton’s second place finish in the midget boys’ long jump was the highest ranking achieved by one of the Devils in last Thursday’s (May 4) Capital Classic Meet at the Terry Fox Facility.

For the second consecutive week Curtis Bell posted a third-place result, this time in the midget boys 100m hurdles. He also cracked the top five in the 100m (fourth) as well as the 200m (fifth).

Liam Antille and Cameron Hermer also earned fifth-place points. Antille was fifth in the midget boys’ high jump and sixth in the 100m hurdles. Hermer finished fifth in both the junior boys’ 100m hurdles and 200m hurdles.

“All of our team members performed well as they prepared for the SD&G meet,” noted coach Patti Hall.
