WINCHESTER – It’s a sign that summer’s winding down, sure, but it’s a time for celebration no less. The village’s annual Dairyfest celebration returns Sat., Aug. 10 with a full day worth of activities for those young and old.
Winchester’s core features prominently in the event, with much of the goings on taking place at Sweet Corner Park and other adjacent areas downtown.
North Dundas Fire’s village detachment launches the morning with its annual breakfast at the hall beginning at 7 am, while area men can get their PSA number at Winchester District Memorial Hospital’s prostate awareness event.
There’s also the Dairy Dash, Parmalat cheese sale, milk chugging competition, the Royal Canadian Legion Winchester branch’s Cow Race, and much more.
Music lovers are also in for a treat with entertainment featuring the Mighty Harmonics and Kyle Ivan, and an 8 pm street dance. Celtic darling Kelli Trottier will headline St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church at 7:30 pm.
