Demo-cross made its debut at the 88th Chesterville Fair much to the delight of the large crowds in attendance. The event features four cars that run simultaneously in a round circuit, complete with two ramps and a green light on full contact. The car that completes the most laps is declared the winner. Four heats and one feature were run at this years’ event with the winner collecting $150 and the feature winner collecting $300. Matt Wetherell, Dennis Dejandin, Melissa Gendron and Robbie Chartier each won their respective heats with Chartier coming out on top in the feature race. The classic demolition derby winners were John Chartrand, $500 for the mini feature, and Dennis Dejardin won $200 in the midsize category. Schoch Photos
