Lola Myrtle Farrell
Lola Myrtle Farrell of Winchester, formerlyof South Mountain, passed away on April 27, 2007 at WinchesterDistrict Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was 91.
She was born on April 14, 1916 in Mountain to the late Arlow T.Beggs and the late Margaret (nee Grant). She was the wife of thelate Arthur Farrell whom she married in 1934 at Heckston UnitedChurch. She was the mother of Stan (Dot), Fran (Keith) Crawford,Bill (late Betty), Dora (Ken) Francis, Doreen (Francis) Henderson,Dennis (Rina), Betty (Sandy) Stewart, and the late Harold, Eldon,Ted, and Marion. She was the mother-in-law of Iverna Farrell.She was the grandmother of 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren,and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by hersiblings Irene Anderson and Harold Beggs.
She was a member of the United Church Womens Institute, and amember of the South Mountain United Church.
The funeral was held at South Mountain United Church on April30 with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating, followed by intermentat Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. The pallbearers wereDavid, Steve, Mike, Vince, and Brad Farrell; and Kyle Stewart.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Homein South Mountain.
