Clifford Kemp Hickling

Clifford Kemp Hickling passed away peacefully in hospital on Sat., April 22, 2017 in his 92nd year.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Wilson), and dear father of John and Louise (Peter) Klaassen. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Lisa (Peter) Winters, and Andrew (Victoria) Klaassen; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Arie, and Theo. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce, and his brother, Jim.
Clifford was born in Savannah, Ga in 1926, and spent his formative years in Toronto. After his Second World War service, he graduated in 1952 from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He, with his young family, moved to Ottawa in the late 1960’s where he retired as Chief Dentistry, Department of Veterans Affairs to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a farmer.
Our sincerest thanks to all who cared for Clifford, with kindness and respect, in his later years.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thurs., April 27 from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 8140 Victoria St., in Metcalfe where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
