Beatrice Emma Hopkins
Beatrice Emma Hopkins of Morrisburg and Brockville, formerly of Valois, Quebec, died peacefully at Wellington House, Prescott on Tues., March 19, 2002 in her 98th year.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Hopkins (1987). They were married in Montreal on April 5, 1987. She was born on Dec.29, 1904 to the late Jack Henry Oliver and Eliza Beatrice Merryman.
She was the dear mother of Joan (Chris) Findlay of Mallorytown. She will be missed by son-in-law Michael (Frances) Klugman of Wasaga Beach and daughter-in-law Isabel Hopkins.
Mrs. Hopkins was a loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Fred Oliver of Sarasota, Florida, Leslie (Gladys) Oliver of Blenheim and Freda (Ralph) Kervian of Cocoa, Florida. She will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by daughter Grace Klugman, son Bill Hopkins and granddaughter-in-law Nicole Bruinsma.
Funeral service was held at St. James Anglican Church, Morrisburg on Sat., March 23 with Rev. Bill Byers officiating. Interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Morrisburg.
Pallbearers were grandsons Christopher Klugman, Jonathan Findlay,Scott Findlay, David Klugman, Jamie Findlay and Bill Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers were grandson Iain Klugman and granddaughter Susan Findlay.
