Glen Neil Irven
On Mon., Nov. 27, 2017, Glen Neil Irven suffered a fall in his home. He was rushed to Winchester District Memorial Hospital and airlifted to Ottawa. He never regained consciousness and passed away in the early hours of Tues., Nov. 28, 2017.
Glen was a beloved son of Rotha and the late Emerson. He was the beloved spouse of Lila McMillan, and brother to Wayne (Linda) and Sharon.
He was the originating partner in Metcalfe Fuels, retired truck driver (30+ years for Ladouceur Milk Transport), and always a proud farmer. Glen was a good neighbour, and friend to many.
Special thanks go to ambulance and police services, the first responders, for prompt care rendered at the house. Appreciation is also extended to the medical teams at Winchester District Memorial Hospital, air ambulance trauma crew, and the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus.
Glen’s family is grateful to the Francis and Guy families, and other close neighbours and relatives for their support and care after previous health setbacks.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Daley Family Funeral Home in Metcalfe (613-821-2120), followed by interment at Springhill Cemetery in Metcalfe.
