Myrtle Loretta Johnston
Myrtle Loretta Johnston (nee Harrington) passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Sat., Aug. 18, 2007. She was 86.
She was the beloved wife of the late Morgan Johnston of Iroquois, formerly of Russell. She was the loving mother of Dwayne (Bonnie) of Ottawa, and Douglas (Terry) of Brockville. She was a cherished grandmother to Trevor (Brianne) of Oxford Mills, Jamie Lanthier of Ottawa, and Jason Lanthier of Ottawa. She was a special great-grandmother to Icess, Hailey, Eve, and Dameon Lanthier; and Reese Johnston. She was an only child and was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dorothy Harrington of Russell.
She was an active member of the Women’s Institute for 65 years, was a member of the Iroquois United Church, the Good Companions, and enjoyed travelling and playing cards.
Friends were invited to visit at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Iroquois on Aug. 21. The funeral service was held on Aug. 22 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Yvonne Willis officiating. Interment was held at Maple Ridge Cemetery, followed by a reception.
The family would like to thank Dr. Prins for his wonderful care to mother over the years. Thank you also to a special neighbour, Mrs. Hazel Ace.
