Robert Murray Alexander Little passed away peacefully in Winchester District Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness, on Sun., Sept. 28, 2014.
He was the son of the late Robert and Mae (nee McCallum) Little. Murray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Audrey (nee Boland), and his children, Gary (Bonnie), Cathy (Jack Brunet), Greg (Kelly), and Allan (Sara). He was the cherished grandfather of his “Little gaffers and geefles” – Shawn, Kayla, Owen, Chelsea, Blake, and Grant. He will be missed dearly by his sister, Madge Beattie, and his brother, Bruce (Judy). He was also the brother-in-law of Norma and Ivan Stuart, Jessie and Byron Wall, Ian Boland, and Bea Maynard. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
He spent his entire life on the family dairy farm, taking over the operation from his parents, doing what he loved, working with the animals, and working the land. He was a proud member and past-president of the Osgoode Township Historical Society and Museum in Vernon. He was also a director of the Springhill Cemetery in Metcalfe for many years.
His cremated remains were laid to rest on Tues., Oct. 7 at 11 am in Springhill Cemetery with Al Micus officiating, followed by a luncheon at the Kenmore Community Centre.
