Isabell Christena MacKenzie (Ferguson)

Isabell Christena MacKenzie (Ferguson), nee McIntosh, passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Mon., July 30, 2007. She was 94.
She was a Life Member of Hope Chapter #184, Ottawa, Life Member of #310, Winchester Chapter, and Past District Deputy, Grand Matron, 1990-1991, of the District 14 of The Order of  The Eastern Star of Ontario.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph J. MacKenzie of Winchester, formerly of Finch, and the late Douglas D. Ferguson of Ottawa. She was the loving mother of Robert (Bob) Ferguson (Patricia), Dorothy Ferguson-Robinson, and William (Bill) Ferguson (Joan). She was a cherished grandmother to Robert A. Ferguson (Ann Kerwin) of Toronto, Susan Halvorsen (John) of Kanata, Julia McKenna (Ron) of Ottawa, Douglas Robinson (Jill) of Finch, Andrea Graham (Cameron) of Ottawa, and Christina Ferguson of Toronto. She was a very special “G.G.” to Bryn and Rees Ferguson; Tove, Mats and Britt Halvorsen; Dylan and Katherine Isabell McKenna; Dougie and Bobby Robinson; and Kieran and Ewan Graham. She is also survived by her sister Jessie Hudson of Almonte. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Christena McIntosh of Moose Creek and Ottawa, her sisters Ann (Rutherford) Palmetier, Alberta (Ogilvie) Campbell, and Alexina Gliddon, and her brother Hugh John McIntosh.
She led a very full and active life, participating in her bridge groups, church organizations, and Eastern Star.
Friends were invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry in Ottawa on Thurs., Aug. 2 and Fri., Aug. 3 until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:30 am, followed by a reception. Interment was at Pinecrest Cemetery. An Eastern Star Service was held on Thurs., Aug. 2 in the evening at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.
The family would like thank Dr. David Flowers for his wonderful care to their mother over the many years, and to thank Dr. Kate Darbyshire. Thank you to Mrs. Ann Langabeer for her friendship.
