Randy Moore (a.k.a. Rambo)
Randy Moore of Winchester passed away suddenly at the Ottawa General Hospital on Tues., March 22, 2011, in his 53rd year.
He was the cherished son of William and Marjorie Moore. He was the beloved husband of Cyndie Summers. He was the loving father of Bradley (Angie), grandfather of Jessica and Kyle, and the dear brother of William (Sue), Kate (Jim) Christie, Michael (Cathy),and Patrick (Patricia). Randy will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, nephews, and nieces. A memorial service was held at Winchester Wesleyan Church on Sun., March 27 with Rev. Thurland Brown officiating. Brothers Bill and Bob Wilson gave the eulogy, and also read out the many tributes and reminiscences received. Pastor Brown played his guitar and sang “One Day at a Time.” Following the service, a time of fellowship was held at the Winchester Lions Hall. Many mementos of Randy’s passions were on display, with numerous references to Arctic Cat snowmobiles, competitive oval and ice drag racing, playing and singing guitar, and of course, the “Red Pine.” Picture boards with captions highlighted the best of his life. A delicious lunch was catered by the Marlborough Pub of North Gower.
