Myrna Doreen Walker

Myrna Doreen Walker (nee Baldwin) of Walkerton died on Tues., March 8, 2016 in her 91st year.
Myrna was the loving and generous mother of John (Karen Hehn) of Kemble, Ont., Mary Jo (Peter Morrison) of Toronto, and Maureen (Rick Schuler) of Walkerton. She was the cherished grandmother of Kyle (Alison) Schuler of Walkerton, great-grandmother of Grady and Axel Schuler, and the dear sister-in-law of Janette Baldwin of Nepean, and Pearl Burd of Manotick. Myrna was predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph, of 65 years; her beloved grandson, Scott Schuler; and five siblings: Harold (Edna) Baldwin, Mary (Robert) Bronson, Luella (Ross) McGregor, Elva (Burt) Hodgson, and Keith Baldwin.
Myrna was born and raised near the small village of South Mountain. She and Ralph were wed in 1947, and together they moved to Walkerton, where they owned and operated Walkerton Dairies Ltd. for 25 years.
Myrna was passionate about many things. She was active in her community, and a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Church. Curling, skiing, gardening, reading and showing prize-winning Standard bredhorses with Ralph were some of her interests. She cultivated friendships with people of all ages and thrived on getting to truly know them.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Myrna’s funeral service was held at St. Paul’s United Church in Walkerton on Fri., March 11. Her love of music, and her strong Christian faith were central to the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Victoria Jubilee Hall, the Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The arrangements were entrusted to Cameron Funeral Home in Walkerton.
