Isobel Katherine Williams died peacefully at the Garden Villa in Chesterville on April 16, 2015. She was 93.
She was the fondly loved wife of the late William Williams. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion McGuin (Ralph), and her brother, Robert Beger. She was the much-loved mother to Bronwen and Dave (Cathy), and best Grammy ever to Evan, Olivia, and Theo.
She was born to the late Emanuel John Beger and Annie Ethel Isabella Campbell on June 24, 1921. She graduated from the Loretto Academy in 1940, and the Wellesley Nursing School in 1944. Throughout her nursing career, she brought compassion, hope, and optimism to her patients, earning her the nickname “Sunshine.” The Williams family lived in Beaconsfield, Que., where Isobel was a volunteer with the I.O.D.E., and worked at the Ste. Anne de Bellevue Veteran’s Hospital. She moved to Williamsburg in 1991, and participated in many community events.
Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Sat., April 25 from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4 pm. Refreshments will follow the service.
